Day 24 – Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013 – Summerside, Prince Edward Island

We left beautiful Nova Scotia and headed back through New Brunswick over to the Confederation Bridge, which takes one over to the Island of PEI. A beautiful drive!

Seeing that bridge for the first time is something else!

This is one long bridge! Goes for miles over the Atlantic Ocean!

Once we got onto the island we headed over to Summerside and camped at a Wal-Mart there. The people are so friendly but the weather wasn’t we ran into quite a bit of rain on this leg.

Driving a Bounder equals calm & cool sightseeing!
One fella and his wife in the Wal-Mart parking lot drove over to welcome us to PEI. A real nice couple they have never been out to western Canada. He thanked us for our oil but said no thanks for Stephen Harper (our Prime Minister that happens to come from Calgary)!

Tonight we headed to the village of New Glasgow. We had a Lobster feast at New Glasgow Lobster Suppers restaurant. Along with our one pound Lobster the next best part is that they serve you “All you can eat” for he rest. Mussels, desert, baked rolls and salad!

When in PEI do what the locals do and eat here!
You guessed it I skipped the salad to make sure and keep my figure as is, but I almost ate the full bucket of mussels myself! Add two pieces of pie with ice cream! Oh, did I mention the lobster, awesome!

The Mussels were a little under cooked and bit back!

Barb's Lobster tried to get her too! Ouch!

After that all we could think of was a good sleep so home we went.
Red beaches - Even some of the ocean water looks red
because of the red sand underneath.
The rolling hills, different colour ground coverings all add up to a beautiful landscape!
