This site can be seen many times in the USA.
I can’t count how many security checks we’ve been through in the USA.
They say it’s for illegal immigrants. Same visual site - Same feelings.
Like anywhere else don’t mess with these guys.
These ones were State Police. (Note the Tactical Helmets).
They have always been very polite and friendly to us.
This was another type of police in a Command Post. May be state police, not sure...
Here comes the Army again.
Also have been pleasant to deal with and we’ve been through many security check points.
So in answer to the above and recent questions that I’ve had.
Be smart, just like you would at home in Canada or just like you would in the USA.
Don’t mix with the wrong people, don’t go in to the wrong areas & stay out of dark alleys.
The Baja is reported right now to have very little cartel activity.
We have not seen anyone that could have been a Bandito.
Everyone to date has been overly helpful and very friendly.
Don’t let those over-blown stories ruin your world travels.
PS the only reason we don’t like driving at night: Animals & Pot holes... We’ve done it.
