Beach Times - 2020-02-17

Yesterday we were talking about how for the last couple decades we always said we weren’t beach people. It finally hit me. I used to go to the beach all the time. In fact in my bachelor days we would live there if you’d let us! What happened?
Once Barb and I started a family we did continue going to the beach especially when we were in Kelowna which was often. But it began to get to hard to pack everyone up and then watch them when we were near the water, so it faded away as a past time.
Well, on this trip we decided we are beach people! Maybe not as much as when I was single but we are enjoying it a lot more than we thought we would. We’ve done several trips to the beach so far and don’t intend to stop.

You can not beat a beach when there is a nice sunset!
A daily occurrence down here...

Caught me napping!
Note the RV’s in the background.

Anytime spent on a beach needs to be rewarded with more food!

One of our favourite coffee shops and they have the best Empanadas and Apple Pie!

 Back to the beach!
It’s incredible to have miles of beach to yourself!

 Serious Campers
We’ve seen these before on other travels. This family is from France!

This beach isn’t very good for swimming due to under tows.

We were wondering why all these people started arriving as the sun went down?

We wandered over to find out...

It’s a place that helps to conserve Turtle populations!

You can adopt one of the nests if you want.

Once the sun has gone down they help the babies and release them back to the sea.
Every night in January and some in February too!

Barb!!! I think I found a house!
 This house is for sale...

We drive by it almost every day we go to the beach.
It’s ocean front and the pictures don’t do it justice!

The backyard and pool are like what you’d find in a small boutique hotel!
Man... oh... Man...

Ok, time for one more nap!
